Dog Surgery Ward
This room houses our surgery and trauma patients. Many of our elective surgeries are done on an out-patient basis. They arrive at the hospital by 9:00 a.m. the day of surgery, have their procedure and are ready to go home usually by 5:00 p.m. Post-surgical patients are kept in the recovery room for observation until fully awake. They are then returned to the surgery ward until their owner arrives or, if necessary, for an overnight stay. All dogs are given access to the fenced exercise yard at least three times daily.
Cat Ward
For your cat's safety and comfort; our cat ward is in a completely separate building from our dog facilities. This building houses cats in the hospital for surgery, non-contagious medical problems and boarding. All cats hospitalized for treatment of a contagious disease are kept in an isolation room in another building.
Dog Medicine Ward
This ward houses dogs hospitalized for medical reasons of a non-contagious nature; all dogs hospitalized for treatment of a contagious disease are kept in an appropriate isolation room. The necessary protocols are observed to prevent the spread of any contagious disease. All of our medicine cases are given access to the fenced exercise yard at least three times daily.
Dog Boarding Kennel
Our boarding kennel consists of stainless steel cages of an appropriate size for the occupant. There is a perforated plastic elevated floor in each cage for comfort and in case of accidents. Cages are thoroughly sanitized between occupants. We provide a large towel for bedding; however, the owner may bring whatever they wish to make the dogs stay more comfortable. Boarders are routinely fed once daily in the morning. We feed Science Diet dry and or canned food. Owners may bring their dog's usual food if they wish and we will be happy to observe any written instructions as to an alternate feeding schedule or any special care your pet requires. All of our dogs are given individual access to the fenced exercise yard at least three times daily.
